I’m Dr. Jodie Waisberg, a clinical psychologist with over 25 years of experience helping people work through life’s challenges. My journey started with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Windsor, where I learned different approaches to therapy. Before opening my private practice in 1998, I was at Kingston General Hospital for five years, working with inpatients and outpatients dealing with depression, anxiety, and other medical and psychological issues. I worked in specialized areas like the Diabetes Education Centre, the Anxiety Disorders Clinic, and the Eating Disorders Clinic. I’ve also taught and supervised graduate students at Queen’s University.

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when old ways of coping don’t work anymore. It’s easy to fall into patterns of thinking, feeling, or behaving that feel hard to change, even when they’re no longer helpful. In therapy, I work with you to identify these patterns, explore other ways of responding, and find a path forward that feels right for you.

I’ve always believed that most people already have the inner strength they need to overcome their struggles. Sometimes, it just takes the right kind of support—a safe space, a thoughtful listener, and honest feedback—to help those answers come to the surface. If you’d like to learn more about therapy and how it might help you, I invite you to explore this website or reach out.
